Haneef Adeni has proved his mettle as a director and scriptwriter in a space of just two films in the past one year – both with Mammootty in the lead. The young filmmaker, we now hear, is all set to team up with Nivin Pauly for his next venture. A source from the industry tells us, "Haneef has locked a film with Nivin next. It's a big budget venture that will be shot in foreign locations including a major portion in Africa. The shooting locales will also include different parts of India."
The movie will be a "family crime thriller", according to the source. "Haneef's previous two scripts – The Great Father and Mammukka's latest movie – told relevant subjects that had relationships at the core but were essentially crime thrillers. The Nivin film will also be similar only in that regard, as it will be made in a far more massive scale than the last two films," says the source, adding that Haneef will also be directing the film.
