Sonakshi Sinha to play lead in Gulshan Kumar biopic 'Mogul'

Gulshan Kumar founded T-Series music label (Super Cassettes Industries Ltd.) became an big producer of Bollywood since 90s. This time Bhushan Kumar took it one step ahead by producing 'Mogul'. The movie will be based on the life of Gulshan Kumar. It will be directed by Subhash Kapoor. But recently #MeToo movement had its toll on this movie too. Allegation against director Subhash Kapoor surfaced. That causes the lead actor Aamir Khan to step down from project.

Selection for lead male actor is still in progress. But the recent update shows that Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in for the film. Sonakshi Sinha will be playing female lead in the film. Report is also saying most of the part will be done in a vibe of 70s and 80s and film presence will be short. Sonakshi approved the script but team is not ready yet to start shooting. She will be playing role of one of his girlfriends in the Gulshan Kumar biopic.
