Comedian-turned-actor Mir Afsar Ali is all set for his upcoming film ‘Doha’ directed by Aritrik Bhattacharya. The short film is about a lonely man and his only friend in life, his shadow. It goes deep into the life of a depressed man who once had a happy family but now lives all alone, with no one but his own shadow. Often he fights with his shadow, sometimes speaks with it. The short film dealing with such an unusual subject is right now in post-production stage. Mir will be seen as the only actor in this film. It’s like a one-act play.
According to the director, in reality, human beings are quite lonely. Shadow remains the only companion that never leaves a person. The entire film’s shooting was wrapped up within 12 hours at a North Kolkata house. Aritrik has used a piece of Rabindrasangeet as the background music for his film. ‘Doha’ is set to release next week.
