'Brahmastra' Is Pushed To November, 'Mission Mangal' Takes Independence Day Slot

Dharma Productions' upcoming venture Brahmastra's release date is now pushed to Christmas 2019 from Independence 2019. The movie casts Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in important roles. This movie was stated as first part of the fantasy adventure trilogy. The announcement was made via producer Karan Johar and the production house's official Twitter handle. Brahmastra is director Ayan Mukerji's self-proclaimed "most ambitious" project so far.

The slot somehow is taken by Akshay, who will be seen next in Mission Mangal, touted as Bollywood's first space drama, thus announced 15 August, 2019 the release date of the film. Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and Nithya Menen will star in the feature film. This will be directed by Jagan Shakti. Fox Star Studios and Cape Of Good Hope Films to produce the film as a contract with Akshay for total of three films.
