There was a big concern in fan clubs after the release of the first trailer of 'Alita: Battle Angel'. Some said that the presentation of inter-terrestrial character Alita is far away from human look. She should look more subtle and that will result in enhanced connection while viewing the movie. The makers gave respect to these demands. Now with the release of second trailer, skin tone, some facial expressions and most importantly eyes are now more human like.
Battle Angel Alita (known as GUNNM in Japan) was originally created by Yukito Kishiro for Shueisha's Weekly Business Jump in 1990. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic future and follows Alita, a cyborg who is found in a garbage heap by a doctor and rebuilt. Completely devoid of her memory, all she has to cling to is a legendary cyborg martial art known as Panzer Kunst.
'Alita: Battle Angel' is directed by Robert Rodriguez, produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, stars Rosa Salazar (as the titular Alita), Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, and Jackie Earle Haley. Originally scheduled to premiere on December 21, the movie is currently slated to premiere on February 14, 2019.
