Looks like the two important biopics of Tollywood will be clashing at the box office. One is YSR biopic, 'Yatra' and another is NTR biopic 'Mahanayakudu'. NTR biopic was scheduled to release in January end. But now it seems like they will release in second week of February. This unfortunate incident happens due to code of conduct of general assembly elections. The clash is not yet confirmed by the makers officially but there is still speculation about it.
In 'Yatra' Mammootty is playing the role of YS Rajashekar Reddy. The film is directed by Mahi V Raghav and produced jointly by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devi under the banner of 70MM Entertainments. To be released in Telugu and Tamil, Mammootty will be dubbing with his own voice. Sathyan Sooryan will lead the camera and A Sreekar Prasad for editing.
On the other hand, The NTR biopic started im July this year and the shooting is still under progress. The film will be released in two parts as – 'NTR Kathanayakudu' and 'NTR Mahanayakudu' – highlighting both his film and political career. The NTR biopic is directed by J Krish. N Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati are funding it. It has an impressive star cast with Vidya Balan, Mohan Babu, Sumanth, Keerthy Suresh, Rana Daggubati and others.
