Meenakshi Dixit To Play A Significant Role In Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi'

Meenakshi Dixit acted in all south Indian film industries prominently. She appeared in numerous Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies till date. Now she got another significant role in the Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi. She last acted in tamil film 'Bayam Oru Payanam' and Hindi film 'Laal Rang' in 2016.

Meenakshi told the Deccan Chronicle, "I play a New York-born girl and what is interesting about my role is the relationship between me and Mahesh Babu. I have gone for a complete makeover in everything beginning with my hair to the way I look, walk, talk and behave." She also praised Mahesh Babu for his professionalism and his simplicity.

The film is about three friends played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. A major portion of the film will be shot in the United States. The film will be directed by Vamsi Paidapally. Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju and Prasad V. Potluri, under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema will bankroll the project. 'Maharshi' was scheduled for a Sankaranthi release, but now it is rescheduled to April 9th next year.
