The film seems to have risen above troubled waters. Sara Ali Khan's launch film, Kedarnath, has not seen smooth sailing. Director Abhishek Kapoor had a public fall-out with his co-producer, Prerna Arora of KriArj Entertainment, about the film's release date. Kapoor had announced the release date as December 21, which would see it clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Zero. That did not go down well with Prerna, as she did not want to 'go against Shah Rukh'. The project almost got shelved and Sara picked the Ranveer Singh-starrer, Simmba -- directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Karan Johar -- as her launch vehicle. Now that Ronnie Screwvala has stepped in as co-producer, it seems like matters have been sorted.
Kedarnath now has a new release date - November 30. Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara were discussing when they visited Kapoor's office over the weekend. Sara's debut film will be followed a month later by Simmba, which releases on December 28.
