Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' Already Earns ₹250 Crores By Selling Rights

Vijay is ready for his next film. After release of few posters it is confirmed that this one will be a sports drama. The new film is centered on football and is named as 'Bigil'. Atlee who previously worked with Vijay in two blockbuster hits like 'Theri' and 'Mersal' will be directing this venture as well. The film is scheduled to be released on Diwali.

Recently there is another speculation that Vijay will be playing a dual role in the film, that of a father, and a son. One among them will be a football player or coach in the film. He will play as the Head Coach who is in charge of the Women's Football Team from Tamil Nadu participating in the national championship tournament.

The film is produced by AGS Entertainment. Screen Scene Entertainments have bagged the theatrical rights of 'Thalapathy 63' for a massive price. It has taken over the ownership of Tamil Nadu. It is said that they have paid Rs 80 crore for it and also 3.5 crores of audio rights and 30 crores of TV rights. In addition, foreign rights, Kerala rights, Karnataka rights, Hindi dubbing / remake rights have already earned around Rs 220 crore.
