Wonder Woman came out on June 2, 2017. Since then all are waiting for a sequel to come out. The next part is already in making and titled as 'Wonder Woman 1984'. Previously the movie was scheduled to come out on November 1, 2019. But word has just come in that Wonder Woman 1984 has been pushed back seven more months. New date is June 5, 2020. This seven-month delay is unfortunate for fans who were eager to see Diana of Themyscira back on the big screen.
This basically means that the sequel will arrive three years after the first Wonder Woman movie. Warner Bros' president of domestic distribution, Jeff Goldstein stated, "We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did. This move lands the film exactly where it belongs."
No specific story details have been revealed yet. The cast includes Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright in important roles. Gal Gadot took twitter to post the rescheduled date of the release.
Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!— Gal Gadot (@GalGadot) October 22, 2018
